About the Author

Jully Kamollo is an advocate of the High Court with 8 years practice experience. She is a certified professional mediator, tax agent, writer, notary public and commissioner for oaths. She is a member of the LSK Gender Committee, the LSK Tax Committee, the ELRC Bar-Bench Committee of LSK Nairobi and the Dispute Resolution Hub.

She is the managing partner at Kamollo-Mwalo & Associates LLP and holds a Master’s Degree in Tax and Customs Administration from Moi University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law, a LLB from Moi University and a Certificate in Certified Public Secretary from KASNEB.

Jully Kamollo has a demonstrated background in tax, employment, corporate, technology and discrimination laws. She has expertise conflict management, corporate governance, data protection, policy development, research, compliance, risk management, project management, litigation management, gender mainstreaming and legal advisory.

She has drafted over 50 policies ranging from Human Resource Manuals, Data Protection Policies, Privacy Policies, Corporate Governance Policies, Risk Management Policies and Gender Policies. She has worked with Not-for-Profit organizations in mainstreaming gender in employment set-up in areas such as the Flower Sector.

Jully advises NGOs, manufacturing companies, tech organizations and digital marketing companies on how to plan and manage their taxes in a tax compliant manner. As a data protection enthusiast, she has advised digital marketing companies on how to run digital ads within the confines of data protection laws.

She has participated in the legislative and policy analysis and impact assessment of key legislations and policies such as the Huduma Bill, the Finance Acts and the Employment (Amendment) Acts, on behalf of stakeholders in the sectors.

About the blog

The Legal Tank was created to give the author a platform to write articles and educate readers on different areas of the law that she has expertise in. It also serves as a mentorship platform where the author gives young lawyers tips on how to navigate the legal realm.

The Blog consists of the following segments:

  • Legal Alerts – a segment that highlights key developments in the law and how they might affect you.
  • Legal Insights – a segment that gives you insights on certain areas that are a challenge in your business and what that means to you
  • Legal Articles – a segment on the author’s articles based on her take on key aspects in the area of law.
  • Legal Mentorship – a mentorship segment that guides the young lawyer on how to navigate the legal profession. It targets the young lawyer who lacks a mentor and doesn’t know how to approach certain issues in their professional lives.

Terms of Use
